Pig in the middle is a really good family run Cafe business that has bene running for over 40 YEARS! Yes, I did say 40 YEARS!
It's mainly construction workers and other manual labour type of people that tend to eat there, so it's not really aimed at your high end posh office workers. But their clientele LOVE the food and selection... they must do as I've never once walked in there and there's not been a queue of people waiting.
The food: Ok, so it's not your 5 star gourmet, but that's ok... because they are not pretending to be either. Their target market is the lower end of the food market in terms of very low priced but very tasty food items. I've eaten here over 50 times now at least, and I've never had a bad meal, it's always been great and at a really low cost. In fact, everyone I've recommended to try it out, is also regular customers too!
Staff: The staff are wonderful people, just really nice and kind. They always greet you when you go in and it's become a nice daily routine to just chat and see how things are going... they do a good job.
Location: Far Gosford Street, so a good location and easy to either walk or drive to with on street parking out front.
Overall, it's a nice little takeaway cafe place and I like it. -

This is the sort of breakfast place you can't go wrong at. Prices so low they're practically giving it away. And it's tastes amazing every time!
Batches are what they do best!
I've tried loads of different combinations and never been disappointment. They even have a pork patch with seasoned stuffing and cranberry sauce with gravy! Hello!?
The thing that makes this place extra special though, are the owners that run it. It's hard to find a couple so dedicated and caring about their customers and making sure each prepared meal is tasty. It's almost like they're on a mission to make sure Coventry is well fed!
This shop is very tiny. There are only 2 seats, but you mostly get it to takeaway anyway. And it needs some major updating and repair. If you didnt know it well you might think twice when you walk in. This is why I give it 4 stars. But other than that it's 5 stars all the way! -

Pig in the Middle does very affordable take away food. It does the staples such as bacon and sausage sandwiches and jacket potatoes, but the main attraction is the pork and stuffing batches, topped up with crackling and stuffing.
